우운택 교수 연구진은 시민이 자발적이고 지속적으로 지역사회 문제를 발견하고 참여하여 해결하게 하는 시민참여 플랫폼을 디자인하고 구현하고자 한다. 이를 위해 개방형 데이터 플랫폼, 디지털 트윈, 참여 플랫폼을 연동하여 활용하고 있다. 특히 시민들의 자발적 참여를 지원하는 HQS (Holistic Quantified Self) 기반 에이전트 디자인, 지속적 참여를 유도하는 인센티브 시스템 디자인을 개발하고 있다. 이러한 시민참여 플랫폼은 향후 스마트 시티즌을 위한 핵심 플랫폼으로 활용 가능할 것이며, 인류세의 도시환경 개선 및 지속가능성 제고에도 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다. 

Prof. Woontack Woo’s team aims to design and implement a citizen science platform for the citizens to discover, share, and solve community problems by themselves. The research project utilizes and integrates an open data platform, a digital twin, and a citizen science platform. In particular, the team is developing a smart agent design based on HQS (Holistic Quantified Self) to encourage the citizens to participate, and an incentive system to make them involved for a long term. The proposed citizen science platform has a potential to be used as a core platform for smart citizens in the future, and is expected to improve the urban environment by enhancing sustainability.
